I'm making a video ( low/non existent budget) for a song of mine, and the set we need is a train ( preferably old) with a seat next to a window. We need to be able to erect a green screen the other side of the window. There will be 3 or 4 people involved and we would probably need about 3 hours.

Does anyone know where they keep disused/ out of service trains and may be able to help me.

Thanks

Any preservation/heritage line should be able to help. Sounds like you don't require a moving train. Check your local area for a heritage railway (Google/library and start from there.)

Good luck...let us know where you find and credit the outfit when you release...oh and donate when you hit number one.

Try Sky 195 Propeller TV for a showing...indeed watch it for some good music/vids.

As caliwag says a heritage line should be able to help you out, if you can give us a general location for yourself (say a region or major city nearby) we can advise what lines are close to you.

I have contacted the east anglian railway museum, as that was the only thing google was throwing up.... and they said yes..£50+vat .. but ideally I would like something near Waltham Abbey as that is where the singer is near. She sings with Soul2soul so she is doing me a massive favour and I want to take up as little of her time as possible .... and thanks for responses

cheers for the heads upon that Bwatch... they have some lovely 'rolling stock' ( I'm new to this) but they still haven't hit me with the price.

I thought there might be someone with one storage, what did happen to all those trains I used to get to work on in the seventies?

Anyway I'll keep you posted on how it goes, and if you hear a song called 'Black Painted Heart' on the radio, think of me ...

well after a lot of blood sweat and tears ( to tell the truth, no-one cut themselves, it was freezing cold and no-one cried) the video got finished.

We sneaked Thomas the tank engine in under the disguise of steam.

Thanks to all at EARM for making us welcome.

This is the result
