Surely it depends on what you want to see or where your interests lie?

Busy station dominated by LNER and Govia Thameslink, with a smattering of Cross Country, East Midlands Trains, Greater Anglia, Hull Trains and Grand Central thrown in. Plus a reasonable selection of GBRf and DBCargo - not intensive but adequate on the freight side. Well worth spending some time if those are the sorts of things you are after.

As Skymonster says a good selection of freight from DB Cargo and GBRf, there are also quite a few Freightliner freight as well. The Freightmaster Peterborough table shows around 60 to 70 scheduled freight over a 24 hour period, with around 20 of these between 9-5 weekdays, mainly class 66’s plus a handful of 70’s
