Training material for assessment

Hi all,

I have recently been invited to attend an assessment day for a trainee driver talent pool. I have had a read through this great forum which has so mich useful info.

I was considering getting the following package to help with preparing for the tests but wanted to know if any one had any feedback on these?

The other option is the how 2 become training info which is considerably cheaper but have read conflicting reviews on this.

If any one could shed any light that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure on how useful or not these programs and courses actually are, but something that I did (and I was successful first time) was download a couple of “brain training” apps on my phone. There are a good number of free ones that have loads of different games and as you go through them you’ll realise that they have a whole heap of games that are very similar to some of the psychometrics.

May or may not help you out, but just something to consider!

Don't purchase training material!! Your toc/foc will give you the relevant practice papers

I have to second this. ALL the info and materials you need to pass the psychometrics is provided in the pack from TOC/FOC that you will sit assessments with. The only exception could be the free Group Bourdon on here which is maybe worth a shot of just to get yourself used to the shapes of the dots. Practice using the training pack you're sent and listen to instructions on the day and it'll be simple enough.
Save your money and use it to take journeys to the depot you're applying to or on some of the routes and speak to traincrew to get info for interviews.
