Sunday 27th January was i windy day and trees along the Metro route were having a good work out bending back and forth , but for one tree it was little bit too much on the south bound track near too Dudley st has the driver of Tram 32 found out .

Trams were running two shuttle services , North bound from "Black lake" to "Wolverhampton"
and the south bound from " West bromwich " to "Grand Central" there was no service between
"west Bromwhich" and "Black lake" for while the tree was cut back .

How was detrainment of the passengers handled? There's a very tempting non-segregated footpath just over the 6ft, 4ft, and cess...

Unfortunately i missed that, the overhead power was off assume on both overhead wires the pan was down on the tram and both lines not in use, the public footpath
On the far left would be accessed by ether the fast way by getting out and crossing the track or maybe the heath & safty way taking them along right side of the track to the next stop which is only about 200 yds away in the distance, the driver and conductor were bith on board when took the photos.

The normal arrangement on tramways is to have the two overhead wires electrically connected so one can't be isolated on its own. Having two paths for the current helps reduce resistance losses and at tram frequencies trying to run a service with one track out of use is pretty pointless.
