Interesting idea - it would never have occurred to me to list out every class separately within "rail".

For me, within rail, all classes currently in service within the UK and quite a few that are no longer extant and a fair bit of overseas stuff.

There's a few other modes which I can claim though:

Within aviation, roughly 25 different types of aircraft.

I can also claim:

Hydrofoil
Jetfoil
Ocean Liner ( genuine liner - never been on a cruise ship! )
Hovercraft ( at least 7 different types ).
Ferry ( big and small, conventional and catamaran )

Yeah I am a big fan of recording the different classes I go on, as you can probably see from my current signature.

In NW England, we are very lacking in HST services so I have set myself a personal challenge of covering all the different HST operators. So far I've done East Coast and East Midlands Trains. I went across to York on Saturday to try and get a Grand Central HST but it was all class 180s :roll:

This weekend I am off to London to catch a First Great Western HST though and in a few weeks I'll try and get the CrossCountry one!

Apart from that I've been on:

Many different types of bus/coach
Ferry/Cruiseship
Catamaran
Lots of aircraft
Trams
Metro
and so on...

Following on from my earlier post, here is my flying log. And no, I'm not loaded! Quite a lot of the helicopter flights listed, for example, were either free or nominal.:)

UK Locos Preserved Lines: 03, 08, 10, 14, 20, 25, 31, 33, 40, 44, 45, 46, 47, 50, 55, 56, 66, 73, Warship, Western.
UK DMU Mainline: 101 (Norfolk and Manchester), 117 (Nottingham-Skegness), 142, 143, 144, 150, 153, 156, 158, 159, 165, 166, 168, 170, 175, 185, 205, 207, 220, 221, 222
UK DMU Preserved: 101, 107, 115, 116, 117, 121, 122, 127 + a few more that I've likely forgotten.
UK EMU: 306, 310 (as hauled stock),312, 313, 315, 317, 319, 321, 323, 357, 360, 365, 375, 376, 377, 378, 411, 412, 421, 423, 442, 444, 450, 455, 456, 458, 465, 466, 483, 507, 508, Eurostar
Kettles: Various, nothing on the mainline.

Planes: 737-300, 737-500

Others: Hovercraft, Catermaran, a few Passenger Ferries, various river tour boats, a few Norfolk Broads hireboats.

Regrets: The early AC EMUs (never did do an "AM" type other than the 306 on London-Shenfield specials), everything else was gone by 2000 which was when I started doing a lot of travelling on my own (previous trips had mostly been with parents and mostly just A-B), or even if I'd not got in in service I managed to get it in preservation.

I'm about to add Cl 373 tomorrow

Then in May I have another new aircraft type - the Embraer E195 to Dublin (though the return is on a bloody Dash 8!)

Can't list the DMU's/EMU's as I didn't record them, but have travelled numerous conventional classes, and also in the Class 124 Trans Pennine and Class 123 Inter City varietes.

Quite a few foreign classes, notably the DB 220's and 221's, and the Netherlands 76's, which became their 15xx numbering series.

Buses, again didn't keep accurate records, but includes RM, RML, RT, MBA, RF and SMS.
