Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, and don't think it has been well publicised but Transport Scotland's have a survey running relating to smart ticketing till 31 August. https://www.transport.gov.scot/public-transport/smart-and-integrated-ticketing/smart-travel-survey/ is the link. The stated aim is to learn more about passenger preferences for smart travel – specifically when it comes to smart ticketing, smartcards, contactless payment or mobile apps. We’re seeking views of both concession and non-concession travellers – whether you currently use paper or a smart ticket or payment option.
Quite a lot of it relates to multi modal travel, use patterns and smart technologies but there is also space to provide your own thoughts. I presume this is driving towards having a more unified smart approach within Scotland.
