I'm planning a trip to this on the 29th of June (me and 2 children) looking to catch the train from PRP (or maybe a bus to BTN first) to PMS. I have an annual gold card.
Additionally there will be another Adult and child (with F&F railcard) coming from TBD joining us en route somewhere.
What is cheapest way to do this please? I'm a bit bewildered by all the options!
Preference would to get the Hoverbus from PMS but walking to Southsea Hoverport is not out of the question.

It looks like the Steam Railway isn’t operating as I can’t find a timetable, so nothing will stop at Smallbrook. The Steam Railway’s timetable is unclear.

Ah yes I see no trains on the 28th. Back to the drawing board then. Thanks Gloster

I used the Hovercraft as part of a Fratton - Shanklin through ticket with railcard discount to bring the price down earlier this week, I have to say I think it would now be my preferred way of getting to the Island going forward... It's fast and reliable, from what I saw.

With a railcard it worked out cheaper than using Wightlink.

Your first post says "29th of June" when the trains *are* running. But then your second post says 28th of June. Which is it?

Edit: Nevermind, I see it was edited to 29th as per below.

The OP originally wrote 28th, but presumably due to the lack of trains on that day as indicated in #2, edited it to 29th.

Hovertravel offer a combination ticket offering return hovercraft flights, travel on Island Line trains between Ryde Esplanade & Smallbrook Junction and travel on IOW steam railway. Think this is £50 adult.

Booked PRP to PMS and PMS to SAB on the 29th, looking forward to it!

In most journey planners, you can make them show times and prices using Hovertravel by putting in a "via" point of Southsea Hoverport, or show them using Wightlink by putting in via Ryde Pier Head.
