Trip to York, early May.

Last month, I was lucky enough to get an invite to the naming of 66779 at the NRM so being as it's a good few hours drive from me, my dad & I decided to make a couple of days out of it.

On our way up, we had a lunch break at Water Orton where we managed to catch a couple of freights along with 31452 on move from Bristol.

After checking in to our hotel, we headed out to Colton Jcn for the evening and were lucky enough to arrive minutes before 66779 passed through hauled by 66737.

The next couple of days were spent in and around the station and museum.
