Just a random question that occurred to me.
Which two UK passenger stations have the greatest number of different types of rolling stock operating direct passenger services between them on a normal weekday? I’m only interested in booked passenger services, that make actual passenger stops, in non-Covid times. Charters and other one-off trains do not count. I will accept locations where a booked service may pick-up or set-down only at either location.
Different sub-classes of the same unit type count as one. (For example HSTs.)
My starter suggestion is Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket. Off the top of my head, booked services currently produce the following;
156
158
170
220
221
334
380
385
390
397
HST
800
801
(Edit - added 397, removed 185, 350 & 320.)
(Re-edit - added 156.)
I bet someone can come up with a better example...
