First Leicester have for many years split the word Netherhall as Nether Hall for their 38/38A routes as seen here

Although during one of the covid lockdowns they managed to get it right
Midland Fox always called it Nether Hall, and Arriva still does.

A bit of a grey area, as on maps the through road is called 'Netherhall Road', yet the local Post Office is called 'Nether Hall Post Office'.

Preston Bus are terrible when it comes to making mistakes but one that stands out is the 44 buses on the network which advertise "Ingle" instead of "Ingol"

Stagecoach Merseyside ADL/Enviro 400 15743 - KX61DLF with incorrect capitalzation in it's 'West kirby' (should be upper case 'K') destination. (my pic).

In the long ago days when United Counties served rural Northamptonshire...

They served a town called Rushden and a village, Rushton. The later in-house made destination-blinds (made by spraying over stencil letters) for Kettering depot reduced the blind length slightly by combining the two as 'Rushdon'. Not sure whether it was intentional, though.

You had the same in Sheffield - Low Edges and Lowedges. I think the latter is always used now.

Arriva Scotland West had a few step-entrance Pointers that would display Erskine Semphill rather than Sempill.

Dales and District’s 70 Northallerton-Ripon used to claim to serve “Ripon City Center“ - while Ripon *is* a city, it doesn’t use American spelling.

That service is now in the (higher quality!) hands of Reliance of Easingwold.

The digital signage on the newer Translink buses has been programmed with a lot of misspelled destinations - a few that stick out in my mind are (and this is very far from a complete list):

"106 Crumlin - via Hannahstown and Glenavyk"
"270 Monaghan - via Armagh and Portadown - Serviing Loughview Park and Ride"
"94b City Centre - via Titanic Belfast & Belfasat Met"

One I remember from the 1980s - Luton & District had been formed from the southern area of United Counties and traded as Hitchin Bus, Luton Bus and Aylesbury Bus - yet if you were given one of their tickets, Aylesbury had been mis-spelt as Aylebury on the back !

I have in my possession a destination blind from the former Arriva depot at Coalville where "Thringstone" is mis-spelt "Tringstone".

I've got a couple of First Wirral Brighttech powerblinds in my collection out of the old Scania L113s/Dart SLFs. The original 1997 version is fine, however there was a shortened version brought out in 2003 which says "Reaburn Avenue MILL PARK" instead of "Raeburn"

Admittedly something I never noticed whilst in service but picked up on once in the collection!

As mentioned near the beginning of the thread, West Kirkby instead of West Kirby was common on the Wirral.

Over the years Queen Square (Liverpool) has often been displayed as Queens Square.
