Crystal Palace receives 8tph on the London Overground when West Croydon services are diverted.

Bradford Forster Square often gets trains to Carlisle and Lancaster when the line is closed for engineering works.

Lichfield City has CrossCountry trains stopping there when the line is closed through Tamworth.

When Virgin Trains services used to be diverted via the Settle and Carlisle line I think some of them stopped at Blackburn.

The time I did it in 1999, it even stopped at Darwen!

Don't think Lichfield City has been mentioned yet.

XC stops there when line is closed around Tamworth so a quick 20 minute journey up to Derby rather than having to go via Tamworth or even Brum on those rare days.

Can't remember if 6 tph on Cross City line was reduced on those weeks to cope with extra spot but wouldn't be a problem currently with 2ph stopping in Lichfield for last 12 months.
