I am creating a 3d model of a 1995 Northern Line Tube Train. I have managed to obtain, from a simple google search, a large number of detailed images of the trains. The model is going to be quite detailed and I cannot get any decent images of what I assume is the buffer which protrudes from the front of the train and is just above the coupling unit.

I do have some images but not enough to be able to accurately represent it. I was hoping some kind soul might be able to

a. Tell me what it is, which in itself will aid further google searches
b. Send or link me detailed images of the piece

I live about 80 miles outside of London otherwise I would just pop down to the nearest station and politely ask if I could take a few pictures myself.

I have attached an image with the 'buffer' piece highlighted with a black box.

Many Thanks

Anti-climber buffer; a fixed piece of metal which has grooves so in the event of a collision the grooves will interlock with the opposing buffer and prevent the cars riding over each other.

I'm sure you are aware, but the image you posted is of a 1996 Tube Stock train — and while they are extremely similar to the 1995 Tube Stock, there are differences.
