Just thought I'd bump this as this show is still on the air weekly at the moment.
UK Times are 16:30 + 22:30 Thursday and 04:30 + 10:30 Friday. It's actually very factual and quirky and covers an awful lot of very interesting topics. It seems quite a few of the odd ideas that pop up in these forums are actually being tried and used in Japan, like hybrid/battery trains, small freight containers, luxury tourist trains etc. I even saw a railbus experiment (a bus with train wheels that can go on road and rail).

Its available on Freesat channel NHK World in the UK, not sure if that is also on terrestrial anywhere.

You can also catch up here https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/tv/japanrailway/
