Hi all,

I'm thinking about buying a rover or ranger ticket next week.

I have a couple of quick questions regarding the Heart of England rover.

Firstly, I know you can buy them for 7 days or 3 in 7 days. Is it possible to buy them for one day - I suspect that it isn't - I prefer the Heart of England over the West Mids Day Ranger as they are accepted by Virgin.

Secondly, with regard to the 3 in 7 tickets, how do they know which days you have used the ticket for - for instance, if you buy one on Saturday and use it Saturday, Monday and Tuesday what stops passengers from using the ticket for more than 3 days? Not that I would, just curious how it works.

Many thanks,

Steve.

Many thanks for your reply.

Does that mean that I need to decide which days I wish to use the rover when I buy the ticket - or can I choose the days as I go along?

My reason for asking is that my health isn't great at the moment and I'm concerned that if I book Monday and Tuesday, for example, I won't be able to use the ticket on the Tuesday as my health varies from day to day. If I have to specify the days that I wish to use the ticket in advance perhaps I would be better off alternating days for example Monday, Wednesday and Friday?

Thanks again,

Steve.

The chances of actually being asked to see the boxes are quite slim. Perhaps 1% of guards ask (if that!)
