It looks like potential strikes ahead from engineering staff in pay dispute.

Theres currently an overtime ban and starting from 20th November it would be a strike. It would be interesting what options are realistically available to Nexus and Stadler in providing any sort if service. Jarrow MP Kate Osborne according to the article suggested the original pay offer was 6%.

That could be interesting if the Go North East bus strike is still on at the same time.

The potential for strikes is over after the Metro engineers accepted the latest pay offer.

'the Unite union confirmed on Friday morning that its 35 members at the depot had voted to accept an improved pay deal from Stadler, ending the industrial dispute. The news will come as a welcome relief to Metro users and to local transport leaders.'
