Early Saturday morning start as I got the 0549 bus prior to catching the 0620 GNER to Newcastle. I had a MK4 mallard set up there were I sat in coach B which was empty. Passed a couple of 60's on route 60031 at Durham then 60021 on Tyne Yard.

We arrived at Newcastle at about 0750 were i got off and bought a tyne valley day ranger and met up with '20's till i die' and caught the 08:10 1F20 as far as Carlsile. We sat down till Hexham were we stood at the window doing heads out, flailing to photters

We then caught a HST around 1030 ish back to Newcastle were we were joined by 37372. We then headed to phot at Hexham were we got several shots...........

We then headed back hoping to go to Stocksfield but our trains next stop was Metrocentre (oops) So we went to Wylam from Metro centre instead. Were we was greeted by these dodgy looking characters http://www.ajp.fotopic.net/p34890246.html

THen Headed back to Newcastle and caught the 18:34 GNER to Doncaster.

According to the National Rail website, GNER no longer accept Tyne Valley Rangers..... !!!

They stopped accepting them about the same time as Durham and Morpeth were taken off the rover area IIRC.

Yeah, but didn't change the website until several moths later, leaving some of us without a valid ticket from newcastle - morpeth
