One that struck my eye is a one-off Broadstairs-Grove Park service on the 13th July only, running 09:07 Grove-Park to Broadstairs (1Z75) and 1500 (1Z77) for the return journey. Is this a charter train of some description?

Looking on NRE, the Grove Park/Broadstairs services are non-stop.

What’s the story behind these services?

Indeed. It was the non-stop nature of these services that made me wonder if they were something chartered. Olympics-related maybe?

Grove Park and the surrounding area is local to me, and the train is usually chartered each year by the local Coopers Lane Primary School as a treat for the leaving students to go to the coast. IIRC

Last time I saw it, it showed a 'charter' on the info screens and I was expecting a diesal loco... To my surprise a 12-car Class 375 showed up!
