The journey is a single from North Camp to Ealing Broadway on the 27th. This an alternative origin station than normal due to SWR engineering works (which may be relevant)
The natural option at the time of travel is with 1 change at Reading. This price defaults to £24.90 and is set by GWR (link to BRfare)
However there is a cheaper option with 2 changes - one at Reading but also oddly Paddington and requires going past Ealing Broadway to then return, which is normally not allowed to my knowledge This fare is £21.20 and is set by SWR and is valid cross London apparently (BRFares)
Is this any particular reason for this? Are the engineering works relevant due to no fast trains to Waterloo? Could the cheaper ticket be used on a GWR/TfL stopping service from Reading to Ealing Broadway
