I know that the Seatfrog app can be used at the moment for last minute first class upgrades, but will this still be running after it becomes LNER?
Thanks all, just a side question, what would you say primarily is the difference between the east and west coast first class services?
Food offering is better and more consistent on VTWC.
Also the price, VTWC are a little cheaper I find, on average.
As of the latest version released (at least to the iOS version) you are now able to bid on upgrades on tickets booked via any retailer and any ticket type. This is done via entering journey details and manually selecting the train departure.

That’s correct. Is it like Weekend first, if I have a longer journey I can bid to upgrade only the LNER part?
I wondered this too. Anybody know?Does this include PRIV?
Does this include PRIV?
- This Seatfrog upgrade auction offer can only be used by customers and accompanying travellers on the same booking reference, with a Standard Advance ticket, travelling on eligible Virgin Trains services.
Only available on Advance tickets for VTWC. LNER offer on Advance and walk up
The Seatfrog website indicates that you will need to have booked tickets through a qualifying website, which eliminates Priv I'm afraid.Does this include PRIV?
I noticed earlier this week you can now make a bid to get an upgrade on Scandinavian Airways flights. Didn't see what system it uses, but assume it's the same idea.
Apologies if this isn't a recent thing, but I haven't flown SAS for a while and most of my other flights this year have been low cost airlines (where everything is up for grabs) or charter.
