Do you ever use the rail network for recreational walking? If so, you may be interested in www.railwalks.co.uk. Could you come to our first meeting on March 9th?

A group of us set this up earlier this year with one main aim: to create a national network of walks between railway stations. Our first meeting will be in Worcester next Saturday and we have been gradually growing our mailing list (320 at the last count - 44 coming to the meeting). Links to both are on the homepage.

Welcome to the forum.

Your initiative had already been spotted, and some examples mentioned, in a discussion on the "Other Transport" forum here:
(which might be a suitable place to continue).
