Very nice video. Looking at the points, I would say that they were motor - or hydraulically - operated points installed as part of a run-round loop put in when the line was singled and truncated at that point, presumably as a dead end spur to serve a colliery or other industrial installation. However, there doesn't seem to be much room for a loco in that headshunt.
