wap.nationalrail.co.uk still works for journey planning and live departures. I've always liked the way you can click on one of the calling points when browsing the live departures, bringing up the live departures for that station. Is there a planned switch off for this service?

Are there any other transport WAP sites still in operation?

Thanks for that - I didn't realise it was still available. Thank's to its minimalist nature it is dead quick!

I've always used traintimes.org.uk which also offers 'click through' functionality. I also like the way it is easy to use for Live Running by simply adding the station TLA's to the URL, so for example, to get live departures from London Bridge, the URL becomes traintimes.org.uk/live/lbg and then if you want to filter it further by destination stations you just add on that station code, i.e for London Bridge to Haywards Heath only trains the URL becomes traintimes.org.uk/live/lbg/hhe.

I have my 'common station' live running info set as speed dials on my browser to make this even easier.

I'll definitely bookmark the WAP site though as a back up.

You need to use a WAP enabled device (typically mobile phones made between 2000 and 2009 ish) or WAP emulator to view the site. The Opera browser will open WAP sites.

If you have windows phone it don't work, it tries downloading a file but says that windows phone does not support it... bummer.
