Warships in 1970

I started spotting in 1969 in Churchdown between Gloucester and Cheltenham. Westerns and Hymeks were 2 a penny but Warships certainly were not but in 1970 there was a regular turn for a double headed pair Southbound at approx 15.40 which we ran from school to see. Would anyone know what this working might have been, Many Thanks.
