Morning all,

Apologies if this has been asked before but I’m wondering if there is a website I can see freight diagrams?

I go to my local WCML station on Sundays with my 2 year old. I use real time trains to see what is stopping but unsure on how I can see freight trains running through because it won’t show on RTT obviously as it’s not stopping at that station.

Thanks in advance and hope my question made sense

Remember the Freight master books? They used to have their own website but I don't know if it's still available

Most freight trains show on RTT also, you need to choose a timing point and all services which pass this point will be shown. Plus RTT makes up times for trains passing stations inbetween formal timing points. Choose the appropriate search criteria.

RTT will show all trains scheduled to run through a station whether they stop or not. For example this is Watford Junction for today

However RTT shows all paths regardless if they are running or not so you will need to click the train to see if it's actually passed any other locations, or check when the path was activated (if it's been activated more than 2 hours before departure it's a good indication it is running) or in the case of GBRf services you can see if it has been consisted. If a path has been activated 2 hours or less before departure it still may run.

Only if you go into detailed mode and if its not a mandatory timing point its extrapolating the times itself.

On the day changes/new services won't get their locations extrapolated as well as I believe it's an overnight process. So to catch on the day additions (VST services, Very Short Term Plan) you need to look at a mandatory timing point.

Not only is Freightmaster "still available", but it just celebrated its 30th anniversary a couple of months ago! :D

...and compared to the printed version, which was only updated four times a year, and was often
out of date by the time it was published because it took 14 days to print/post out, the online version
of the Freightmaster timetables are updated on a daily basis with details of new/retimed/diverted
freight services, plus 'seasonal' workings such as RHTT water cannons.

There's also a forum with exclusive info not found anywhere else such as weekly test train diagrams,
plus over 100 'realtime maps' (like Traksy and Railcam, but designed from the ground up to highlight
freight services and terminals)

Sorry for the blatant plug - I'm just proud to have been able to provide this unique service to enthusiasts
continuously ever since 1994...

Back on topic, if the OP can say which 'local WCML station' they are referring to, I would be more than
happy to provide a one off copy of the relevant FMonline timetable free of charge.

I have used Freightmaster for years and is my ‘go to‘ for all things freight. Yes you pay for it but it works out at £1.69 a week!!! If you bought just one coffee a week you would pay more than that.

I would highly recommend Freightmaster (and I’m not a member). I have used it in the past and it is perfect for what you’re looking for.

Use real time trains advanced function.

this is today for Bank Quay

freight trains are ZZ under the TOC column

i clicked on Actual under the Ordering section in the Detailed Filtering options drop-down which puts the trains in order by the actual time they passed or are due to pass
