Those screens in the bus station dont like staying connected to the wifi in the bus station so even if we cancel the service on our system half the time it dosent go through to the screens!
As reliable as the displays at bus stops. I was on a bus last week. The electronic displays said the bus was due in 5 minutes AND at a time that was different (but relevant to the same bus)..Strange, the relevant bus was just leaving the bus stop at the time it should.

He swift doesn't seem to be doing to well recently. Was at the bus station earlier and the 1205 to Uttoxeter was announced as being cancelled. Looks like 701 broke down at Uttoxeter at 0705 with the tracking on bus times.

I've noticed a few passengers get on the High Peak 114 and ask for Ashbourne

811 is indeed on Allestree blue. Maybe it is something to do with the VOSA visit to Meadow Road ;)

Can't say I noticed anything odd....but at least they have some buses to lend to Trentbarton. Lucky they are still red, albeit mostly debranded.
Have to say it is better than they were before - at least they are taking loans in from other depots / notts+derby which don't need them and trying to keep a full service. Even if they aren't running a completely full service, it does seem like they are putting some more effort in to keep as many running as they can. Maybe they just have more ones lying around now that they didn't have available previously.

Just to be pedantic. VOSA have not existed for 14 years. Its the DVSA these days.
Ah yes, so it said on the vehicle that was there.

Noticed Mickleover Enviro 200MMC, 105 had a bang in Mickleover (near the A38 over bridge) the other morning. Some front nearside damage, seemingly now covered in cling film.

Only three off this afternoon. 701, 737 and 738

Are any of the forthcoming Enviro 200MMCs due for Kinchbus, expected in the spare blue and yellow livery. A friend thought he saw a yellow and blue one at the ADL plant in Scarborough.

I was out and about round Derbyshire on Saturday and when I got to Ilkeston I noticed Volvo 717 on My15 route, how often do Volvos get onto the route as I thought it was all Versa's on My15s?

Does anybody know what engine/gearbox the ex TrentBarton Three branded Versa's have? I had one on Notts & Derby's 55 route and it sounded different to other Versa's that I've been on.

A depot spare bus can be used on any route. So not unusual to get a Volvo on the My15. Versas 801 to 835 have a different engine to 836 to 851. One type has Mercedes engines, the others Cummins.. Not sure on gearboxes

Versas 801-835 have a Mercedes engine with Allison gearbox, 836-851 have a Cummins engine with Allison gearbox

What's puzzled me is that the back end of 801 is slightly different to that of 802, most noticeably with the shape of the back of the windows, despite the fact that they have the same taillights.

Minor changes to the X38 from 1st June. Comparing the timetables it looks like the evening journeys between 1900 and 2330 move forwards 5 mins so they are at the same times as Arriva. It also looks like the terminus point in Derby will go back to Victoria Street.

We will be making some small changes to the xprss38 timetable due to customer feedback:

  • Minor tweaks to Monday-Friday morning journeys
  • Minor tweaks to Monday-Friday evening journeys.

Also trentbarton this year will be running the airport & hotel shuttle for Download festival whilst Notts and Derby continue to run the Derby and East Midlands Parkway station shuttles.
Running between Download transport hub, East Midlands Airport and Pegasus Business Park. Operated by trentbarton.

Contractors seemed to be digging up the Corporation Street bus shelter today... Bet it gets replaced with one with seats and totally exposed to the elements

It will be replaced with the same style as the other new ones on the stretch outside the council house, with seating, glass panels on one side and lighting. It has been done later as it wasn't on the original work plan as the "temporary shelter" didn't exist when works planning was first done.

Where does it say that? On the new timetables it still says corporation street

Strangely enough, in the post by 43055 just above.

Okay it doesn't..Could have sworn it did.
It is more of an assumption. The timetable on the trentbarton website gives varying times between Corporation Street and Victoria Street (5 to 20 mins) in the Burton direction but from Burton the times shown at Victoria Street are all 5 mins after Corporation Street.
