Actually 220 is one of the three that came up you can actually ride on at the moment. Currently working out of Piccadilly doing Piccadilly things! 208 and 212 are at Preston/Blackpool. 212 has not yet carried any passengers.

208 has carried passengers, albeit only for a week or two. It was on Liverpool to Wigan and Manchester duties back in January.

Couple of things:-

1. cm39275 asked 'Any news on when 214 will likely return to traffic?'

It was reported as being in service on Sunday 10th March.

2. Reading a Poster between moves at Wylde Green today informs us that the Lichfield TV to New Street part of the cross City line is completely closed from Tuesday 2nd April to Friday 5th April - Rail replacement Buses from Lichfield TV to Brum serving all Stations. If they are only running NS to Redditch & NS to Bromsgrove would it be possible to cover this with 3 Sets on each? If so, this means a drastic reduction in the No of units required, be it 323, 730 or a mixture of the 2.

The reason why I asked about 214 is that I hadn't seen any reports that it had returned from repairs at Wolverton, and had wondered if someone had reported 214 by mistake instead of 241.

I hope you saw 202, as it was out later with 241.

It wouldn’t have been 241. Probably if I made a mistake it would be a different 21x.

When I passed Soho Depot heading into New Street at 09.12 there were SIX visible Cl323 which is ridiculous, 3 of them (all single) were manoeuvring up the Head shunt and caught me by surprise - 323213 was one of them. 211 looked like it was in it's normal siding and another 2 were in the road next to it but were then obscured to me by a passing Pendo on the Down road.
There had been Cancellations on the 4 Oaks Terminators during the Peak and the 10.16 Ex New Street did not come from Redditch but started at NS. (Presume 1 off Soho).
Conclusion - They currently do not have enough Cl323 available at Soho to maintain a decent level of service!

The fact that this is a short-form 3-car with Villa v Ajax kicking off at 8pm is not ideal https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:C74494/2024-03-14 (2R57 19:16 Four Oaks to Redditch via Aston and Birmingham New Street). Unsurprisingly arrives at Four Oaks 10 mins late and departs Four Oaks 7 mins late.

Have noticed some Lichfield-Bromsgrove short-forms sneaking their way in as some of the units are being unavailable.

7 units not allocated today according to the list of allocations put together by Part Time Spotter. 2 of those are now at Tyseley for tyre turning over the weekend so they aren't available, the other 2 are known to be out of use. (211 and 214)

Not looking good at all at the moment.
