Reports from Chime Whistle Publishing, the first 730 diagram on the cross city will start on the 15th April. Was meant to start on the 8th but the overtime bans and strikes have delayed it by one week.
323202 and 323206 will be stood down at the same time for transfer to northern.

With April here, and the 730's about to start up on the Cross City line, I thought I'd give an update. Of course, technically the 730's have been plying the Crosscity line between New St and Aston for the last few weeks.

Notes from posts since my last update:
The first 730 in revenue earning service is scheduled to commence on the Crosscity line from Mon 15Apr
The next two 323's (202 & 206) are to leave the West Midlands after then.
The sixth WM 323 is apparently being prepared for transfer out, but officially we don't know which one or when. However all the ones meant to be going to Northern were out carrying passengers in the last week.
214 may come back from Wolverton.
211 has not been out of Soho since the beginning of January.
The plot thickens.

Some work has been done in advance for it's move, Should be in service till the end of April. My speculation is it could be 207 as it was the only other Northern one stopped on the day the tweet went out (203 was stopped for it's tyre turning move I presume) so I suspect if could be that one, obviously best to wait for some more official confirmation instead of me just speculating.

323202 & 323206 are due to be stood down from next week when the first 730 comes in to the cross city line.
All the ex WM units are still in the usual livery. 212 did a couple of trips to Blackpool this morning (or it was scheduled to) but was empty carrying train crew only. 239 is now the other unit at Preston. 208 and 220 are out today in passenger service.

All observed/Ridden on by myself today. Had to go for a ride on 202+206 as it would appear that they have been put together ready for leaving on Monday. Had them out of Bromsgrove on the 11.29 to Lichfield TV which was the 1st (and possibly the last time) that I have had (or will have) EMU(s) up the Lickey!
