Is it normal for a TOC to put a account number/ sort code on an email with another option of it being 'investigated by the prosecutions team'. Is that not odd and cause issues for the TOC- are we sure that this is definitely official and not a scam?

The last time we saw this sort of thing, the person had claimed for a cancelled train or delayed departure earlier than the time they touched in, and their algorithm was assuming incorrectly that you needed to touch in before the original departure time to have a valid claim.

We've seen it before. And the OP says they have checked the bank details and they are not a scam account.
