Went to carlisle today, great weather may have even got a free tan. First i encountered 60044 (gleaming in mainline blue deprived of plates) along with this thunderbird 57023 (Alan Tracey) still stabled awaiting duties(Note: this has being used from carlsile station for a week now). Dutchess of southerland soon rolled in (throught the day she was running up and down the station). Cotswold liveried 47813 and anglia liveried 714 worked a special north (some good shots). 33207 and sole intercity swallow liveried 47; 826 (springburn) arrived early in preparation to haul the Princess elizibeth special back to Kingscross, Elizibeth, albeit 25 minutes late was a welcome sight which was soon to have the crompton and duff take charge. Unfortunaterly i had to leave early (half 3), the northern bound 47 headed to kingsmoor depot (mentioned erlier) was to return and travel south.
All in all not a bad day, shame there was no DRS or 60's, just boring ol sheds.
