I was thinking to myself about the old class 37s and 47s that were stored at Margam depot and does anyone know what happened to them? Weather any were in working order or anything?, I only ever seen them from a distance through the trees from the SWML.

I know knuckle yard is still open but what remains of Margam yards now?,

I only live 20 minutes away but I never really have the chance to go down there and look for myself. From what I have seen on YouTube some of the loco numbers were...

09011
08466
08587
37403 (D6607)
37411 - Castel Caerfili
37425 - Pride of the Valleys (BR Big Logo livery)
37413
37428
37669
37670 - St Blazey
37684
Unknown 37 - Didcot Depot
37698
47772
47761
56062
56065
60033
60037

I know some of this locos may only have been for repairs at the depot but it would just bninteresting to see if any (especially from the class 37s) survived the scrap heap

37411 was srapped a few months back in fact one cab of it is at a hotel somewhere.

37425 is with DRS and repainted into DRS livery. The classs 08/09's stored at Margam along with the wagons and other loco's went for scrap

A massive shame, especially that 37425 lost its BR Logo's, even more so that all of those 37s were scrapped. My favourite loco by far

37670 got withdrawn after a engine failure. I remember having it along with 37401 on the FWG loco hauled service from Bristol to Weymouth back in 2009.

I think 37428 and 37413 are still around, well one of them is
