This is Forest Gate in East London on the GEML:

The main entrance is behind the couple with the umbrella but the blue shutter is a small newspaper kiosk, built into the front wall.
This, along with the shop next door has now been closed with a notice mentioning 'redevelopment'.
Behind platform 1, I noticed three Portakabins and some hi-viz clad workers up at street level

.
If you were the person by the signal and looked to the right, you'd see them up there.
The kiosk is to the right of the main part of the station, behind the staircase coming down to the right-hand platform.

So, in true East London fashion 'Woss Gaain' On?' :)

Wife says she saw workmen measuring up out the front earlier today too...

Saw a new little note this afternoon stuck to the kiosk which now mentions strengthening of the bridge.
