openBVE runs on a Mac, assuming it's Intel based & has the .Net framework installed :)
My testing is somewhat limited, but there are definitely users out there.

Note that some train features may not run correctly on non-Windows based platforms.

If you want to use Trainz you could install Windows 10 on top of macOS using a type 2 hypervisor such as VirtualBox. I appreciate this isn’t a free option but a good one!

How do you actually install Linux or Windows though?
Hi Peter, have a read of this:

https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac/how-run-windows-on-mac-vmware-boot-camp-virtualbox-3497251/

It will explain how to install using VirtualBox but also using the BootCamp “dual boot” option (you can natively run Windows on a Mac) which comes with MacOS.

I still prefer VirtualBox as Windows runs on top of my Mac allowing me to run Ma and PC programs together. You can also install and run Linux as well. The only caveat is the more RAM (memory) you have the better.
