I have seen a few trains on pictures that are passing Woodhouse on the sheffield retford line.

What route would the cross country routes take via woodhouse as they are pictured there, I presume reverse at worksop and down the robin hood to Derby .

What routes do the Leeds-Nottingham take? I presume again down the Robin hood?

Thanks

The leeds-nottigham services go Via sheffield, the Nottingham tram network limits a section of the line to single track, hence the 4 trains per hour going over that stretch mean it is close to capacty. There is a freight line from just south of Kirkby that goes to alfreton to join the MML, however I am not sure if it has ever been used for diversions.

They take the "old road", turning off at Woodhouse, and down past Barrow Hill, rejoining the mainline just before Chesterfield.

There are a few scheduled services which pass this way on a daily basis for route knowledge purposes. You can find details on the East Midlands section of the PSUL website, looking at the trains between Beighton Junction and Tapton Junction.
