Hello all, I’ve been invited for an interview for a drivers job with XC Trains based at Derby.

I’ve looked, but can’t find much info on the routes the drivers cover that are based there?

and also, just looking for any heads up on what to expect in the interview and rules test?

Thank you in advance

Thanks for that
Could you elaborate anymore on the duty content?
Are all Derby XC trains stabled at Central Rivers?
Do the Derby drivers primarily drive the Voyagers and 43’s... or do they also sign the 170 Turbostars?
I’m finding it difficult to find the information anywhere. I’m going to go to Derby this week to try and speak to some drivers face to face if possible.
Thanks again

I’m unable to give the info your looking for but what your asking are perfect questions to ask at the end of the interview, interviews are two way and just as much a chance for you to find out more about the job as them find out about you.
I had an interview with CrossCountry 2 years ago and when I asked about their link structure the interviewer had already got a copy of the link with him and talked me through it so I think they are prepared for most questions,
I wasn’t successful unfortunately and after feedback it was down to my lack of passenger experience that other candidates had got

Derby drivers sign 22x/HST, no 170 work. Voyagers are all on CZ. Derby men (for it is an all-male depot!) sign Brizzle-Newdastle with diversions including S&K, Beighton, Erewash, Leicester, Worcester, Lichfield, I think Wakey-Donny and perhaps even via Lydney/Chepstow to Newport and back via the tunnel too?
