There's nothing wrong with a good restart now and then.
My computer is almost always on! Never had any problems
Not required if you have a proper OS
Id guess you don't really do much on it? Mostly web browsing?

Its always good to restart your Computer/Laptop with any OS.
Tis always good to restart, but I rarely do anyway cause I'm too lazy.
Web browsing, playing media, downloading, Skyping, MS Office stuff. Just the usual.
Though the longer you leave it the more resources are taken up and such...
