2013? More like 2015 and 2017New electric buses for the 36 in Harrogate. I was wondering when the current 2013-vintage fleet would be replaced.

Quite right, mostly 2015 with a few additions in 2017. No idea where I got 2013 from!2013? More like 2015 and 2017
Areas where a government MP needs some good PR.Does anybody know the criteria used to judge which areas get awards and which ones don't?
The DFT grant covers up to 75% of the additional costs of zero emissions vehicles over the costs of diesel vehicles, and up to 75% of the costs of upgrading associated infrastructure for those vehicles, with operators providing the rest of the funding.Does anybody know the criteria used to judge which areas get awards and which ones don't?
That appears to be the answer to a different question. The DFT grant covers up to 75% of the additional costs of zero emissions vehicles over the costs of diesel vehicles, and up to 75% of the costs of upgrading associated infrastructure for those vehicles, with operators providing the rest of the funding.
Maybe electric operation requires more vehicles?I’ll be interesting to see what Nottingham City Transport do with their 78 single decks
At the time of bidding that would have replaced all the existing single decks on a 1 for 1 basis, but following recent service changes when various services (Brown and Purple) were converted to double deck, they don’t have 78 single decks anymore, it’s more like 60-odd
So I wonder if they were convert some services from double deck back to single deck again
Not with the latest generation they shouldn’t. We are past the days when electric buses couldn’t do a full days service and needed swapping over to be charged part way throughMaybe electric operation requires more vehicles?
either this, or there is a planned uplift in frequency on some of the single deck routes which would in turn require more vehicles.I’ll be interesting to see what Nottingham City Transport do with their 78 single decks
