Hi all,

Quick question, does anyone know where to find a Zifa or Mako stamper?

I’ve been struggling for awhile to find any supplier and Zifa support hasn’t been the best due to language breakdowns.

Even if it’s the tube clipper I’m just trying to find a decent one as my TOC no longer supplies either.

Second hand ones appear on Ebay quite often. So keep an eye on Ebay and one will probably show up. They normally go for between £50 to £100 on there. Other than that you could contact Zifa and buy a brand new one from them or their supplier but they are extortionately expensive. It costs over £300 just for the most basic simple model. The ones with more features go for up to £700 or more. The train companies obviously buy in bulk from Zifa and get big discounts but to buy one from them as an individual you will be paying a lot.

Theyre like gold dust in GWR, if anyone leaves or changes jobs they chase the zifa the most lol, they're then re-issued to new starters

The UK supplier for ZIFA is Needham Inks (www.needham-ink.com) however they are very expensive if purchased new (into the several hundreds for the basic version).

I believe they also keep the ink for the standard version in stock and can order in inks for the perforating versions in boxes of 10 (minimum).

Thanks all for your advice, yes I did eventually get a supplier from Needham Inc but £345 exc VAT is rather a lot ☹️

Will keep a eye out and hopefully one eventually comes up again
