where will they get the buses?Stagecoach to take over Taunton Park and Ride in Somerset from February. Operating out of Tiverton outstation
That's a bit out the way from Taunton.Stagecoach to take over Taunton Park and Ride in Somerset from February. Operating out of Tiverton outstation
It'll be exeter buses.where will they get the buses?
Too costly I'd expect. There's no point if they only need to store one bus there. That's a bit out the way from Taunton.
Surely an outstation in Taunton would be better
Have you considered the fact that Tiverton has spare capacity so that there's no additional rental cost there? That's a bit out the way from Taunton.

Could they run the Exeter routes (e.g. the 355) from a Tiverton outstation as well?Have you considered the fact that Tiverton has spare capacity so that there's no additional rental cost there?
Having an small outbase of just three vehicles means only perhaps 5 drivers. How do you cover holidays locally?
Also, a larger outbase at Tiverton means you can get engineering cover sorted sooner/justify a spare vehicle, so more service resilience?
Aren't those arguments for why Tiverton is a better solution, at least until there is a greater amount of Taunton area work (i.e. critical mass?)
Some already do e.g. 0613 55 and 0655 1 ex Tiverton do so. Some boards start in Tiverton and finish in Exeter, and vice versa, as a means of cycling the vehicles through Matford depot.Could they run the Exeter routes (e.g. the 355) from a Tiverton outstation as well?
I believe Tiverton or Exeter run a contract to Bridgwater for workers early in the morning, the middle of the day and the evening. This could work well for some driver changes and break cover.Have you considered the fact that Tiverton has spare capacity so that there's no additional rental cost there?

It was mentioned in the April changes that it won’t be back this year due to poor patronage last summerI can't see a thread for Stagecoach South West (Devon), apologies if there is one and I've missed it!
Is there a plan to bring back the 222 (Teignmouth - Dawlish Warren open-topper) this year? Last year I believe it started in April, weekends only, but I can't seem to find anything about it for this year...

Scania/E400 open topper 15665 spent yesterday working on service 57 (Exeter-Exmouth). This is an actual observation backed up by bustimes.org.
