Even now with internal jobs it is advised to shadow someone if you are up for an interview.

Was told back in the day that if you didn't shadow then you'll not get offered the job.

Any reason why they went back? If it's similar to gateline shifts (earlIes one week, lates the next) and still within train times then I may be interested but if it's same as TE with early, mid and lates and need to drive in then not interested.

Cheers dude, used to wear pvc/nitrile gloves then gloves over those, hands were always sweating but never got cold, probably similar to the feet in the bags.
