I would put keys in but not turn them, may not be possible on all traction but was on 221 & 390.
If you habitually started the bell buzzer codes it wouldn’t sound so you had to stop, think what you was doing
I was under the impression you could only fail one element twice. So more than two attempts at the process as long you only fail on different elements.
I think the OPC have their interpretation of the guidelines as I have known them to refuse a second attempt When a colleague failed the at home...
I’ve seen the opc refuse another try due to a failure of the at home tests and a failure at enhanced with another toc.
seems harsh but every toc can interpret the rules as they see fit.
I used to believe you get 2 attempts at each element but tocs may have tightened up on this to reduce numbers
You may want to Look at non technical skills to guide you.
Think prepare for the task, break it down into smaller chunks eg 30 minute blocks, track progress to look for signs of fatigue and take action if required
To make matters worse if you pass the cbi it overwrites you’re mmi pass so if your waiting in a pool for another toc then your result is no longer valid.
I spoke to the guy running the course about 18 months ago and he confirmed that only one result counts even though there is 2 assessments.
I know a lad who failed vse for vt and also wmt ar enhanced standard for stage 1, when he applied for vt he was told by the opc his two lives had gone for vt !.
Virgin has lots of staff in jobs they have been promoted to from lower roles, many have had no training and are under pressure to perform. Lots of managers looking out for each other.
I’ve not read the entire thread but from contacts within the company it was a massive overreaction to dismiss the member of staff.
Their is still a massive breakdown of respect from the strike days when the management were acting as a train managers.
