From following "tiger" today 09.02 and 09.36 LST/IPS where both 2 x 321 and after return from IPS worked 12.36 to IPS and 13.18 Clacton returning from Clacton at 15.05. Does anyone know if that is likely to be the pattern next Saturday please
Normal SO service next Saturday, but no trains and bus replacement Newbury Park - Ingatestone or Witham for all the weekends in February.

It would appear then, that the only remaining Class 321 operated services out of London Liverpool Street are:

0523 Clacton-on-Sea
1018 Clacton-on-Sea
2048 Braintree
0006 Southend Victoria
Also the 17:52 Liverpool St to Witham. Note that none are now diagrammed to Ipswich.

Is there a reason why the 321/4s have broadly been getting scrapped ahead of the /3s?

Both 433 and 443 are given as well as 441. Can anyone confirm which of these it was please ?
It was most certainly 321433 the ex white livery one. With 321441 also for scrap. However 321443 remains Gasgoine Wood Sidings awaiting its fate until its turn is due for scrap at Booths Rotherham in due course.

Excellent, many thanks for posting.

Same move on Wednesday. 421 427 have been suggested

37800 failed at Sims yesterday, now being dragged back to Derby. Must be a risk that tonight's run is cape.

37884 Has left Worksop tonight on 5Q76 with 427 and 421 in tow

Not many left at Worksop now!
2 runs next week should clear them. But then there's Gas Wood, lots still on GA so ways to go...

Are there still any regular/reliable workings for Class 321 units into/out of London Liverpool Street, or do they only operate such services on an ad hoc basis?
Also, are they still going to operate on the Walton-on-the-Naze branch line (are there any other branches diagrammed for 321s? If so, which?) for the foreseeable, or are they going to be completely retired? If so, when?

See post https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/class-321-322-withdrawal-updates.212237/post-6025272 above. Last Thursday i covered the Harwich and Walton turns both 321 still also the 1752 Liv St-Witham and its return to Liv St were a pair of 321's so the diagrams were as shown. Can't vouch for next week as another two 720's were reported as commissioned last so given they have more than sufficient 720's commissioned its surprising they need them at all but i guess they need to pick the right point on the maintenance cycles to swap them over.

Do the 321s turn up on 720 diagrams much? The 317s turned out on 720 diagrams almost daily until the day before the first strike last June.

Does anyone kindly please have any further information and updated details please as to which the extra x3 321 units have been removed from service according to Richard clinnick twitter tweet on his Twitter feed on Friday 27th January 2023 for when he tweeted about 321325 321330 off lease to Wembley. He also mentioned about the extra removal of x3 321s as well. Which ones are they?
