In-car route maps are, surely, intended to show passengesr on board the train where it stops, so they know when their stop is coming up. So why over-complicate it with lines the train will not be opdrating on? An interchange symbol for other LNWR lines should suffice.
The problem with not showing all the LNWR lines is that a lot of the LNWR stations do not have direct services to Birmingham without having to change trains. From looking at the map you cannot tell that LNWR goes from London - Birmingham.

I think not showing all LNWR and WMT routes is the right decision, but I agree that the map should show the route via Northampton to Birmingham New Street, the map does make it look like they don't run between Coventry and Rugby at all. There seems to have been plenty of space?

Seen many a photo online of 390s in wales. Dragged by thunderbirds, not quite sure when 390s operating services to North Wales ended. Must have been after all voyagers were in service but I don't know what the precise date was.

Don't know much about rail services in Wales tbh.

There was a Weekly Saturday service EUS-HHD that was 57/3 dragged from/to Crewe to keep driver knowledge intact, and it ran until at least May 2010 as I had a cab-ride both ways on it with 57311 that day.

According to my records, 730046/048 are still to be delivered. 730101-103 and 730205/206 have left Derby. 730101-103 should become 730201-203, but there seems to be some confliction as to what actual numbers they carry at present. There have been quotes of them being /2 but then pictures have appeared of at least one of them, apparently still numbered as a /1. Does anyone know the situation for certain.

Pendolinos did actually used to go to North Wales!
But not under Avanti!

Indeed, there's a convenient gap between Rugby and New St where the Coventry corridor would go.

Brillian thanks.
2x/0s and 31x/2s are rather a lot to get out by 31/3/24 as well as at least the last 7 720/1 plus possibly around 8/9 x/5s not yet in service tho’ not necessarily at Derby.Suggested elsewhere only 2x 701/1s still to come and perhaps a few /5s.
40+ units in 3.5 months including the festive period seems doubtful to me.

There may be an issues in painting them seeing as though Paintbox have gone into administration

Re: Posts 1516/1517: I think you will find that ALL 701s and 720s are actually built, but a good many are not yet delivered as early ones are awaiting parts (a legacy of COVID) and the later ones are just being finished off. Regarding the 730s, again I think that most are actually constructed but it takes time to fit the body shells out, wire them up and finish them off. I don't know what the situation is with the Egyptian Monorail cars - there never seems to be much information regarding non-British orders, but I suspect this order is finished or nearly so. So, in light of this I suspect that all construction will have finished by the expected date, but there still might be finishing work, some of which is currently being done at Alstom depots such as Longsight, Ilford and Wembley.

Just read that Derby will run out of work by the end of January with 3000 jobs at risk. So the remaining units must be nearly complete as suggested above.

All the 730/0’s, except 045 & 048, have been released from Derby and done varying amounts of mileage accumulation along the Trent Valley. I saw 045 complete, being shunted about in Litchurch Lane last Tuesday (5th Dec). No sign of 048 outside, anywhere.
