LNER has posted about overhead wire problems between Newark and Retford, which appears to be in the Grove Road crossovers area. 1A67, 1N23 and 1A39 are currently at a stand in the area. The rest of the services in the area have been parked in stations.

⚠️#LNERUpdate Due to a problem with the overhead line equipment between #Retford and #NewarkNorthgate, services are subject to delays when passing in the surrounding area.

OLE smashed into 1A67 driving cab breaking the screen from what I've seen internally. New trousers moment that's for sure.

First divert via Joint Line will be 1D21.
1H05 KGX-BEV is being terminated at Peterborough.

16:03 London Kings Cross to Leeds due 18:16 will be diverted between Peterborough and Doncaster.
It is being delayed between Peterborough and Doncaster and is now expected to be 94 minutes late.
This is due to damage to the overhead electric wires.
There are no reservations on this service throughout.

All 1Axx from Leeds cancelled, only things south 1Exx.

Single line working past area, what can will divert via joint.

What ever can be crewed will depart Kings Cross, obviously crews all massively out of place.

Lumo hasn't been that helpful on Twitter/X, just saying standby, in the meantime they've tweeted about poetry. HT actually got ticket acceptance, so did LNER, GC is GC...

1H06 is running non-stop between KGX and Doncaster, so not stopping at Grantham or Retford.

1A67 is a Grand Central service.
It's 180 102 that is affected.

1H07 starting in Doncaster now. 1B91 and 1J10 are cancelled

0Z47 now activated at Newark, not sure what the 47 is up to, if it's apart of rescuing anything.
Running to Doncaster to haul southbound Mail 1M80 via joint line while rectification of OhL is undertaken.

Sounds like one of those days. As long as anyone in the leading cab of 1A67 is okay then that’s the main thing.

Doesn’t look like they letting northbound ones move, only southbound ones moving at the minute over the single line.

my friend is on 1S30, I have been keeping them updated. apparently there has been barely any info from the on board crew. 8 trains backed up and the chances of a self evacuation happening increase when no info is given...

Self evacuation in the middle of no where in thick freezing fog would be a brilliant thing to do

That is some build up of trains on the northbound line near Retford.

In the immediate area there are a total of seven trains backed up behind each other.

I noticed on Traksy that 1A41 16:45 Leeds to London Kings Cross was routed into Retford platform 2 recently (at around 22:51) and looks to have now been turned into 5F41- presumably 1A41 has terminated at Retford, having arrived there 325 (!) minutes late.

To add to that I noticed it had been looped earlier north of Retford and whilst there 3 Edinburgh trains went past, which are now clear of the trouble. Don't think I would be best pleased.

I wouldn’t think anyone on any of those trains will be best pleased. 1H10 been sat at head of queue for 3 hours

you'd be surprised what the general public are like...
I know, and have had to deal with the aftermath, but it does make me wonder what people think they can do by evacuating!

Can confirm this, we were told to wait at Retford for the next available train.

Just 9 trains to sift through in the area now, slowly but surely everything is getting there. Putting things into context, 1S28 was meant to be in Edinburgh an hour back and is only just passing Retford at 256 late!

I was lucky to be on 1N87 then, seems like it was the last train to get through to York without massive delays, was able to continue on a packed TPE to Darlington from there
