EMR Class 170 updates

! saw 170922 in Nottingham station at around 00.30 on Sunday morning.
And this afternoon I saw 170923 on Etches Park Depot.

There's always some out, although it's more rare now; one or two diagrams a day. I don't think any are going to hereford anymore
There’s still a daily diagram of 2x170s operating between Birmingham and Hereford. Until last week there was additionally a 170+172 diagram that came out at peak times, but as of yesterday it looks like this has switched over to 2x196s, which would be the first such services on the line.

Think it was route learning cos on rtt it went through Chesterfield a few times.
It is indeed, 5Z70, it runs most days at the moment with a 170/5, up and down the Erewash between both Derby and Nottingham. I believe a 170/9 did do some of the path a while ago

Agreed, this is excellent news as far as I'm concerned. A visit to Nottingham to clear the 170s (again!) is soon to be in order. I already have a ton of active travel coverage to do in Derbyshire, following yesterday's fact-finding, so bring it on!

I nearly had 516 on my local turf the other day, one less to see over here then! It's going to be a Turbostar party in Nottingham soon!

170422 is back in service running between Stoke-on-Trent and Nottingham (although RTT still has it down as 170922 at the moment)

Great news - means EMR are almost there in terms of binning their awful 156s
So how many 170's have EMR received so far this year?
It's beggars belief that TFW are on their a** for units and having to give up the 170's which are ideal for the routes their currently serving when EMR still have operational 156's that could be extended in use slightly longer.
