Good Evening,

While passing through KX today around 12ish, I noticed Platform 8 was completely boarded up for filming.

Seems 33025 & Duchess of Sutherland + 5 WCRC Coaches - Was lot of noise.

Apparently set in 1936, so an LMS loco in an LNER station, hauling BR mk1s under overhead line equipment, will be just perfect.
Of course it'll probably look completely different in the finished edit :D.

Just for good measure, it's supposedly an American train as well isn't it?

I've no idea, I'm only going by the article linked from post 3, which refers to the film being about an American rowing team travelling to the Berlin Olympics. Presumably they might have crossed to Britain by ship to Liverpool then travelled onward via London?

But you might well be right, in which case it'll look even more odd. Pre-war American carriages, whether traditional heavyweights or then-new stainless steel streamliners, look nothing at all like BR mark 1s.

Just watched Morbius, and without giving much away the NY Subway scene in that is filmed in the old Charing X Jubilee station with NY signs added, and a NY Subway train is CGI-ed in!
