Can a £15.20 Greater Manchester Wayfarer ticket be legitimately used in conjunction with a £17.10 Holmes Chapel->Shrewsbury Anytime Day Return (or £13.60 Off Peak Day Return) on a late morning TfW service that doesn't actually call at Holmes Chapel (which latter station is a boundary station for a GM Wayfarer)? :?:

The GM Wayfarer is an "area based" day ranger and can therefore be used in combination with another ticket on a non-stop train. Mind you, if you're just travelling from Manchester to Shrewsbury it's far from the cheapest option, so I'm assuming you'll be travelling elsewhere in the area of validity that day?

Yes, indeed, that's likely to be the case. Thanks for prompt response.

Specifically condition 14.2 of the NRCoT (hopefully this hasn’t changed numbers recently as it’s one I quote all the time without actually checking :D)
