Enjoying a ride on 507007 on the West Kirby. The Rheo/Dynamic is tripped IN…so when the unit gets a chance to be whipped into speed…it makes for a lovely sound slowing down!

Any swapped on Sunday, hoping to catch a couple with a friend if we can
All workings across the network are now booked to be worked by the Class 777 fleet on Sundays, therefore highly likely no 507s will be working today. Perhaps someone could confirm later though?

Could anyone please confirm if 507011 remains stabled at Southport?

Yes 507011 still stabled in the same place it has been for 2 months now with 001 in front of it and a 6 car set stabled alongside platform 1 in the station.

The six-car set is 507010 and 029, which finished there last night after working the 21.21 from Hunts Cross. Other units and their locations are: 507003 in the sidings at New Brighton, 507007 at Birkenhead North, 507015 and 018 at Kirkdale, 507016 and 017 in the sidings at West Kirby and 507023 in platform 2 at New Brighton.

With a bit of luck, 023's location means it will be on the New Brighton line tomorrow.

Logically, 001 would be used to replace 015 when the latter is pulled from service in the coming days, then 011 and 015 would move to Birkenhead North for decommissioning, but we'll see if it plays out as such.

Gotta love the pretentious arseholes who moderate Wikipedia...apparently a video of units 507014 and 021 being dragged for scrap is not a reliable source...

Heard from a friend in the 502 group that 2 cars of 507028 are being claimed for use by the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.

Apparently Car No's 64432 and 71369. This complete unit and 033 scheduled to go to Newport on Tuesday, so I assume road transport to bring back the relevant cars back to Fazakerley, Merseyside!

Anyone know any workings for today?
These diagrams are what they usually work Mon to Fri. Been working as per below last week solidly. 3 x 6 cars

From Southport
1: 0742 1012 1242 1512 1742 2012
2: 0757 1527 1757 2027 2253
3: 0537 0812 1042 1312 1542 1812 2042 2257

From Hunts Cross
1: 0621 0851 1121 1351 1621 1851 2121
2: 0636 0906 1636 1906 2136
3: 0651 0921 1151 1421 1651 1921 2151

015 has ceased. It has been replaced by 001 on the 1527 ex Southport.

5T60 Southport to Kirkdale appeared in real-time train, think this is the first half of 507 011 and 015 heading to Birkenhead North for scrap preparation.

Expect a 5T61 Kirkdale to Birkenhead North to appear at some point

507 011 reported as front unit from Southport so will be on rear between Liverpool Central and Birkenhead

507011 and 015 will be awaiting the driver from 5T62 West Kirby - Kirkdale C.S. which is formed of 507007 and 023. They are approaching the depot now so the move should be imminent.

507015 is alone on 5T64. That's either a fault with 011 or, as I suggested, its flats are so bad it requires the lathe before it can be hauled away.

If they are going to the trouble of turning the tyres, would it make some sense to carry some passengers and earn some revenue before scrapping it?

Think it's just they weren't willing to have it dragged to Newport in that state in case it caused major damage to track as I presume Merseyrail would have footed the bill?

Maybe NR would have insisted on a road move which isn't easy off Merseyrail (think they have to drag them to Seaforth Docks

Are there meant to be any 507s on any Wirral line services at all or is it just 777?
None booked, just 3x 6 cars on Southports

It will most likely be next Monday, do you know what’s after?
Don't think anything else planned to be withdrawn immediately after these next two. Information ws 6 to be gone between Grand National and early May and the rest would carry on for foreseeable
