There were reports of a train in fire at Cardiff central and passengers evacuated.
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/...1UTj0LiPBRC-5l0f1fHcNTUklfe-ijvyhrJiWzxlKcOeQ

“The rear of Cardiff Central railway station was evacuated after a train caught fire. South Wales Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue were called to the city-centre station.

One member of staff said a small train was on fire at platform eight. Emergency services asked people to evacuate the back of the station. A fire service spokeswoman told WalesOnline at 5.28pm that the fire had been extinguished and crews had left the scene.”

Edit: seems like this is a non-story to be honest.

It’s a small piece of debris next to the rail, where the train was sat, that had caught fire. Nothing to report that the debris had come from the train.. and “train on fire” is a wildly far fetched headline!

a quick google would indicate not.

I alighted from a train at 1643 at Central and everything was calm, (incoming tamarins slightly delayed) sent out via the front entrance.

That headline is ridiculous sensational and exactly what we’ve come to expect from W*lesOnline. I think everything you need to know is in this thread.
