Rhymney Line Disruption 1/5/2024

The 6:12 (2P05) Rhymeny to Penarth service only got as far as Bargoed this morning. Apparently, according to TfW, there’s trees on the line with the possibility of a landslide and that the train may have struck it? According the RealTimeTrains, it was operated by 150253. Does anyone know where the unit went afterwards?

With the line from Rhymney to Bargoed shut whilst they examine the line and units trapped in Rhymney, there’s plenty of alterations to services with Rhymney services turning back at Bargoed and some Bargoed services turning back at Cardiff Central. Does anyone know anything about this? Many thanks

Can't help re the unit, but it looks like the line has reopened recently, with trains now going to and from Rhymney
