Oh that unit would have been 465919, went on it last week and it was using regenerative breaking.

Ah nice to see it's still on. Honestly baffles me still that regeneration on the metcams isn't still main stay. They stated before the main reason for it being that the energy wasn't being discharged by the rails properly.

Wierd because the Hitachi tho use Regen. I assume its still some issue with the Metcam equipment.

All 465/2 have been long withdrawn, so it’d make sense if they’re reusing bits for the /9 and 466s.

Does anyone know the status of 465921 and 466028? UK Rail log claims they're both active but I haven't seem them in service since 921 went to Doncaster last spring, and 466028 since it was the unit that caught fire at West Malling.

I saw 466028 at Lewisham 10 minutes ago at the rear of a train headed to Charing Cross actually!

It was out of action for several months with major repairs needed, and spent a long time stabled in the carriage siding at Victoria alongside the shed (and apparently before that was sat in one of the Bromley North platforms).

Didn't get to post on the day but the unit that was on this service had regen. I was told some weeks ago that such tests had halted. Anyone able to confirm a last unit sighting with regen? Thanks

Nvm turns out it was a 466 just seen it roll in on the 2B11 0609 Dartford to London Cannon Street

466004 has returned to the South East - I had a ride on it after its return to clear the 466s for sight.

There's unlikely to be any news about it for a while yet. Plus, the tender is not actual confirmation of anything, just that there is interest. 'Quietly cancelled' in this instance wouldn't actually mean anything because nothing was confirmed in the first place.
